It is also interested in comparative studies in the field of political ideas, especially those related to developments in democratic thought and the diversity of democratic practices, in addition to the critical importance of studying religious discourse in all its diversity, taking into account the central value of religion in contemporary Arab society and the development of extremist religious tendencies and their impact on the masses, which may lead to the emergence of revolutionary social movements that undermine political stability.

historical research unit

Historical Research Unit

This unit focuses on studying Islamic and political history in light of new developments, as nations reinterpret their history after significant events in their history, which has happened several times in the history of our Arab nation. Therefore, we believe that now is the time, not tomorrow, to reinterpret the history of political Islam in our region, especially after its inability and failure to bring about change after coming to power. Consequently, we must deconstruct the ideology of political Islam and the myths on which it is based so that we can move beyond the past and chart scenarios for the future.
