International Conference on Smart Systems and Data science 2021 : ICSSD’21


The School of Information Sciences (ESI) and the Research Center on Information and Data Sciences (RCIDS) organize the second edition of the International Conference on Smart Systems and Data ICSSD’21 on October 28 29 and 30 at ESI in Rabat, Morocco.

ICSSD’21 is pleased to invite proposals for workshops to be held within the main conference. The aim of the conference workshops is to provide a more interactive and focused platform for presenting and discussing new and emerging ideas in any area related to the field of data science and smart systems. Workshops should highlight current topics related to practical applications data science techniques applied to real-world problems.

The format of paper presentations may include oral presentations, poster presentations, keynote lectures and panels. All accepted papers will be published in ICSSD’21 procedings.


A workshop proposal should be a PDF document no more than 5 pages long, submitted by e-mail to and organized as follows :

    • Title of the workshop
    • Workshop Organizers (names, affiliation and contact information)
    • Scope and topics of the workshop
    • A short biography of the organizers (up to 200 words per organizer)
    • Previous experience of the organizer(s) in organizing Workshops (if any)
    • Requested duration (half day or full day), and the expected number of participants
    • Description of workshop activities

The workshops will take place in physical and/or virtual form, depending on the situation with COVID-19. The workshop Organizers are responsible for all the organizationnal aspects including soliciting submissions and providing the details of an adequate number of reviewers for the workshop papers. Workshop Organizers are also fully responsible for ensuring that only high quality papers are accepted for publication in the Proceedings and for verifying the correctness of the layout adopted by the authors (which depends from the editor selected for the Workshop). They are also responsible for monitoring the reviewing process on the reviewing system, in collaboration with the Conference Program Chairs.
